How Blogging Can Benefit Your Business

Imagine if you will, a single woman in her late 20′s, sitting down to a computer. She is blogging on her own site about her search for a wedding dress, and she suddenly thinks to herself, "Maybe I should search other blogs for suggestions." She carefully places her keywords into her search engine and up pops a blog where she can communicate directly with a vendor about her dream dress. Do you think she would be more likely to buy a dress from someone she can make a personal connection to? You can bet a percentage of the proceeds that she would. Business blogging becomes more beneficial at that point, than it will at any other.

Improving Your Business Visibility!
When you open your business to the blogging world, you are opening yourself to the return of personal customer service. Oh, if only Sam Walton could have had this advantage! Wal-Mart wouldn’t be what it is today, it would be better! You have the ability to tailor your marketing to specific customer needs. You then become a niche market and in today’s economy, that is the best way to survive! You have no business without your customers. By catering to their needs with the "Service with a Smile" motto, you ensure profitability, and company wide longevity.

New Marketing Front:
Another benefit to blogging about your business is you can better educate your employees. You remove the pressure of eye to eye contact, and usher them into a world of word spinning and unique sales pitches that wouldn’t work in the "real world". You be better able to provide opportunities to disabled persons who cannot leave their homes. You can also establish training forums on your business blog. You can empower your employees to better facilitate your needs, and establish better work ethics. You may provide many with the opportunity to work at home, where they can better facilitate their own families. You gain better productivity, and quality of service. You also may be able to avoid personality conflicts that would normally arise in a one on one work environment.

How much better would the business world be if we returned to the basics in this way? I know from a personal standpoint that I would be more willing to spend my hard earned money on a company that cares about my particular needs. One on one attention is imperative to making repeat customers, which we all know is the true basis of any business.
