Promote Yourself by using Social Networking.

A little while ago a freind said to me “If you are not on Facebook, you basically don’t even exist.” Lately I have seen myself starting to agree with them. Social network sites give you an insight into what your friends and fellow workers are doing. It is nearly impossible to keep in communication otherwise.

Going on these sort of websites isn’t just about touching base and finding out about your chums and acquaintances lives. Publicizing yourself and promoting your product is another convenience of these sites as many real estate agents have discovered. Newspaper advertising, Leaflets and Billboards are ‘old hat’ and businesses need to go with the flow. The way to the future is now the world wide web. If you have an internet connection, it is not difficult to discover help and recommendations on making full use of social networking.

For older individuals who were not brought up with computers, it’s tough to get used to operating computers and to find their way round websites. Our kids seem to know it somehow spontaneously, but for us, it might take a while to suss out how everything works. Though, we have a go Those ideas, I guess, are not just felt by me, but by lots of realtors out there.

Using the internet, posting on social websites and finding interesting and new things to post on our blogs is usually the last thing we want to do after a long day at work. It became a part of our daily work. Settling down now means going on-line to get our social networking work completed. But does anyone really cares about what we write? Is it only people that do the exact same job actually look at the articles and posts we make? Is there an answer to that question, I don’t believe so.

One way of keeping up with what fellow realtors are doing for me, is to look at their websites and read their features. But who knows whether their writing also draw ordinary people (I don’t mean this in a negative way, of course), the job of whom is not involved with real estate at all. A great asset of all this is that even if I do not see my colleagues often, I feel like I know them, I know about their lives and opinions just from reading their blogs and posts. I may genuinely declare that thanks to social networking, I have gotten to know individuals I haven’t talked to for ages again. What a brilliant thing social networking is.

As a realtor I market Toronto Condos, and I believe social networking to be one of the key ways of attracting clients. Hopefully this brief article was of any help for you!
